About Me

Macy Williams is the owner operator of Yeah You Right Mobile Barista, and has been a dedicated service industry professional for more than 15 years. She has established herself as an expert in food and beverage business incubation through a career long effort of helping start ups and new business owners achieve clarity of vision, ongoing growth through training, and social media success.

Macy Williams, dubbed a 'buffet intellectualist' by her mentors, has interests across all aspects of the art and science behind guest satisfaction and business marketing- graphic design, investor audience pitch presentations, social media engineering, special interest classrooms, and client retention through engagement.

Best known for her role as Head Barista at Steampunk Coffee Roasters in Natchez, MS, Macy spent approximately 5 years founding start ups and supervising small businesses under close apprenticeship with Dub Rogers, retired photographer of international reputation and the entrepreneur behind Steampunk Coffee Roasters, Papi y Papi, S.I.T.E Entertainment, and the live music venue Smoot's Grocery.

In her time as an [IASC] International Academy of Specialty Coffee certified barista, an honor earned by less than 600 established baristas around the globe, Macy Williams served as 'barista to the stars,' providing coffee and hopitality ambassador services to the cast and crew of the movies Get on Up, Logan, and Ma. She is also known in her capacity as an events coordinator at Smoot's Grocery and VIP aide to musicians, traveling professionals, and celebrities during the earliest efforts to revitalize the Entertainment District in downtown Natchez.

Macy has served as author and lecturer of Copiah-Lincolin Community College special interest classrooms (Coffee 101, and From Cherry to Cup), small business training classes, and tourism hospitality guides for The Natchez Trace, Blues Trail, and Natchez Pilgrimage, among many others.

She is a community builder and tactical urbanism enthusiast, as well as an activist and educator for causes such as fair and transparent trade, independent local businesses, veganism, gender fairness, LGBTQ+, and civil rights.

Here is what some of her friends had to say:

"I've never felt more welcome than when I walked in and Macy greeted me. A smile, a kind word while looking me right in the eye and sincerely inquiring about how my morning/afternoon was. In a word... genuine."

"An accepting person. A person you meet and think to yourself 'why are they being so nice to me' afterwards. A welcoming person who helps you to find comfort in where you are, rather it be a new place for the first time or a familiar place. Someone who balances out all of the common negative energy with an overwhelming positive one!"

"Driven. Very driven. Heck, when we met, you were getting around on a bicycle and doing side hussles to get by. But through dedication, hard work, and perseverance you've made a much better life for yourself and I honestly couldn't be prouder to call you a friend."
Rachel Doese, barista

"If I had to be brief I would simply say that you are one of the most beautiful and underrated humans of all time.

I genuinely count myself incredibly lucky to have wandered into a casual conversation with you when we were kids because it would have been so damn easy to have missed you entirely.. After all, you always were so understated when I first met you- so modest and unassuming.. not quite invisible, but just perfectly camouflaged as some normal whoever.

But you’re really not normal at all, you know, because you’re just not made of the regular kind of stuff most folks are. You’re an incredibly rare combination of so many of the best things anyone would wish to be— you have super intelligence without super arrogance, true depth without pretentiousness, absolute devotion without  absolute obsession, incredible talent without any need for incredible attention.. so open, loving and compassionate, so understanding, and so damn generously giving of yourself.
I didn’t earn the privilege of what is truly an unfathomable bond, but I will love and cherish you for always and forever."
Victoria Bennett, artist and photographer

"A kind soul who showed me empathy during the darkest time of my life by the smallest gesture and the biggest hug. Another life reminder that you never know how much the little things you do impact others in such a big way. I will never forget how kind you were to me after my Dad died. You were always kind and funny and real but during that time you showed me a deeper side of you. 🙏🏻❤️ Wishing you all the best and happiness. You deserve it!"
